The Georgia State Climate Office is committed to providing accurate climatic data in a timely fashion for research. We strive to work with researchers on a variety of requests not only with data sets maintained by the lab but also with climatic data sets maintained off site. This Office is also committed to assisting with data set development for particular research needs.
The Georgia State Climate Office is committed to assisting researchers with developing climatic data sets of interest. The Office maintains an extensive library of climatic summaries/books/information circulars/etc. on Georgia climate and is continually developing a climatic database.
We maintain a close relationship with the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) and the Southeast Regional Climate Center (SERCC) and are familiar with eachs' respective database holdings.
The Office is willing to assist with researcher's projects by assisting in developing natural resource datasets, mapping of these datasets, and field assistance. We are located within the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Georgia.
