Georgia Weather and Climate Network
    --Coming soon!

In the next few years a network of over 150 automated weather observing stations will be installed across Georgia, and will provide detailed real-time weather conditions across the state.  This network, called the Georgia Weather and Climate Network, is a cooperative activity including  state and federal agencies.

The network is designed to give integrated full and active coverage of weather in Georgia at 5 minute intervals, updated every 15 minutes.

At the present time, sites are being surveyed and instruments being tested to ensure reliable and representative weather measurements for each location.  The first station is expected to be online by the end of summer in 2005.
